

The Ministry of Commerce, Business Development, Investment and Consumer Affairs will be providing partial-sponsorship, under the E-Commerce Policy, to eligible micro and small businesses to attend a five-day training programme in Website Development to be held at the GAMA Learning Institute located at L'Anse Road, Castries from 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Interested persons have the option of attending from (i) April 29 - May 3, 2013 or from (ii) May 6 - 10, 2013.
Small business owners will develop the capacity to create and maintain their own E-Commerce website using a software package that will enable them to update their website as necessary. It would also facilitate online transactions or payments. The training will be facilitated by Aspire Creative Enterprises (ACE) of the UK, providers of arts education, and Website Development Training, throughout the world.
The cost of this five-day training is EC$875.00 per business. Businesses that qualify for assistance from the Ministry of Commerce will pay only EC$475.00 because the Ministry is subsidizing the cost by EC$400.00 per participant. The following are the conditions for participation:
Businesses must apply to the Small Enterprise Development Unit (SEDU) in the Ministry of Commerce. ï‚· Only one representative per business/firm is allowed. The business will complete a SEDU Intake / Registration Form. Submit to SEDU proof of NIC, Inland Revenue and Company registrations. The Ministry of Commerce will issue the business a letter indicating its approval of the business' eligibility. This letter will be presented to GAMA for processing.Registration takes place from Monday April 15, 2013 to Friday April 26, 2013 at the Small Enterprise Development Unit (SEDU) within the Ministry of Commerce, 4th Floor, Heraldine Rock Building, Castries Waterfront.
All eligible businesses are encouraged to register early as limited spots are available.
