CALL FOR LANDSCAPERS

 

Castries, August 8th, 2018; The Department of Commerce, International Trade, Investment, Enterprise Development and Consumer Affairs in collaboration with the Department of Labour hereby invite all nationals of locally owned landscaping businesses or involved in the provision of landscaping services to homes and businesses to a meeting at the Department of Commerce's Conference Room on Monday, August 13th, 2018 at 2:00p.m.

 

In an effort to ensure sustainability and growth of the private sector, the Department of Commerce has embarked on an initiative to develop a database of all local trades' men and women including landscapers. While concentration has been on the Manufacturing and Construction sectors, landscapers have become an important source of employment in      Saint Lucia. The Government of Saint Lucia therefore strives to promote diversification of Saint Lucia's economy by making skills trade an important policy focus.  Efforts towards achieving economic diversification have therefore brought to the forefront, the importance of private sector development, particularly the development of small to medium-scale enterprises (SMEs).
